Chapter 343
In an instant, all the sounds around him disappeared. Keh stared at the figure held by Stephen with scarlet eyes.
Kevin was still asking the manager if he had called the police and asked them to send a bomb disposal expert over. He saw Keh walking quickly into the banquet hall from the corner of his eye.
Kevin was stunned for a moment and hurriedly caught up to stop Keh. "Mr. Sinclair, it's dangerous inside now!"
Keh said coldly, "Get out of the way. Angie is inside. I'm going to save her!"
Kevin was shocked and frowned, "Ms. Lewis passed away three years ago... Mr. Sinclair, the person inside now is Jennifer." Keh handed the phone screen to Kevin and said word by word, "Look carefully. She is Angela, not Jennifer!"
Kevin glanced at it and sighed, "Mr. Sinclair, this is Jennifer."
It seemed that Keh missed Angela too much, so he regarded Jennifer as Angela.
"I'm going into the banquet hall now!" said Keh affirmatively.
Then he passed Kevin and walked quickly towards the banquet hall without hesitation.
Kevin frowned and hurried to catch up.
Meanwhile, in the banquet hall.
Stephen's patience had gradually run out. "Where is Keh? Why hasn't he come yet?"
"We've contacted Mr. Sinclair, and he will be here soon!"
Stephen didn't believe that man at all. He sneered and said, "It seems that he doesn't care about his woman at all. Then I will kill her first. Anyway, I don't plan to leave alive!"
As his voice fell, he raised the dagger to stab Angela fiercely.
Just as the dagger was about to pierce Angela's chest, the light suddenly went black.
Stephen only felt his arm numb and then lost consciousness.
"Come with me!"
The moment her wrist was grabbed, Angela heard Nathan's voice.
In the darkness, she couldn't help but curl her lips. She didn't expect Nathan to come quickly.
They jumped out of the window, and there was a car parked beside them. After picking them up, they drove away directly.
After getting in the car, Angela began to settle accounts with Nathan.
"Nathan, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in danger today. How are you going to make it up for me?" asked Angela.
Nathan played innocent. "I have nothing to do with it. That waiter led the wrong way, and I also risked my life to save you, right?" Angela frowned and thought, 'That's right, but I can't find trouble with a waiter, can I?
'But...'
Angela said, "Even if you don't save me, I still have a way to escape."
"But I still saved you, so now you owe me a favor," said Nathan.
Angela was speechless.
"Well, I don't want you to repay me. Just lend me the Mercedes that Dad gave you on your birthday last year for a few days," said Nathan.
Angela raised her eyebrows and looked at him. "Why do I think you planned everything tonight just to borrow my car?"
"Am I that kind of person? I have been just into a girl recently and wanted to woo her," said Nathan.
"Nathan, do you need a luxury car to woo girls?" asked Angela.
Nathan's face was somewhat unnatural. "This time is different."
Angela said, "Alright."
Nathan couldn't believe it. "Did you really agree?"
"Yeah, but if you succeed, you have to treat me to dinner," said Angela.
"You bet! I know you are the best, Angie."
Words failed Angela.
Soon after they left, the lights in the banquet hall turned on.
Everyone immediately looked at the stage and saw Jennifer lying on the ground tied up with fear on her face.
And Stephen, who had held her hostage before, was now lying unconscious on the ground with his dagger falling several feet away.
Everyone was confused and didn't know what had happened when the power went out.
Suddenly, the door of the banquet hall was pushed open and Keh walked in coldly.
He hurried onto the stage, kicked away the dagger beside him, and walked quickly to Jennifer.
As soon as he helped her up, Keh froze.
She was not Angela!
No one dared to speak. After all, they had just participated in forcing Jennifer to come on stage and swap with that woman. Maybe Keh would get even with them afterward.
Kevin and the manager followed behind. The people they brought directly took Stephen away to the police station. Everyone on the scene breathed a sigh of relief and left one after another.
Keh stood up and said coldly, "Kevin, take them to the hospital."
Vanessa was also frightened. But when she left, she couldn't help but glance at Jennifer, who was still in a coma.
Suddenly, she was shocked to the core.
This woman was not the one just now!
The dresses they wore were very similar, but there was one detail on the waist that was different. It was just easy to be ignored.
If the woman in a coma was Jennifer, then who was that woman just now?
And what happened during the two minutes of the blackout?
The police soon dismantled the bombs in and around the hotel. As the one whom Stephen wanted to retaliate against, Keh also went to the police station and made a statement.
It was already past eleven o'clock in the evening when Keh finished his statement.
Kevin hurriedly stepped forward. "Mr. Sinclair, Stephen couldn't do this alone. Someone must help him. I have sent someone to investigate." Keh nodded coldly. "Give me a copy of the surveillance video."
"I'm afraid not. After Stephen went in, the surveillance was damaged and nothing was captured," replied Kevin.
Hearing this, Keh suddenly paused. The person he had seen before must be Angela! He wouldn't make a mistake! "Keep investigating. Send me the video shot by the guests at the scene. I want to have a closer look," said Keh. "Yes, Mr. Sinclair," answered Kevin.
Soon, the video was sent over.
Looking at the woman in the video, Keh felt strange again. He had a strong premonition that the woman held hostage by Stephen was Angela, but why did it suddenly become Jennifer later?
"Ask the people at the banquet whether anything unusual happened when Stephen kidnapped Jennifer!" ordered Keh.
He didn't believe that a living person could suddenly appear and then disappear.
"Yes!" answered Kevin.
Keh lowered his head and rubbed the phone screen.
If that woman was Angela, he wouldn't let go of her this time!
The news of the accident in the best hotel owned by the Collins Group soon spread throughout Goldenville, causing its share price to slump.
Daniel had no choice but to hold an emergency press conference. He promised to strengthen the hotel's security and would not allow this kind of thing to happen again.
Angela saw the contents of the
press conference at home. She took
an apple and bit it while
complaining, "Obviously, someone is
going to deal with the Sinclair Group. That's why they used Stephen to make such a scene. The Collins Group was already a victim, and Dad even wanted to apologize publicly. He should ask the Sinclair Group to compensate for our losses!"
Susan couldn't help laughing, "There is no right or wrong in the business world. There are only interests. How could those people care about what happened? As long as they find a chance to attack our family, they will desperately throw dirt on us."
"I know, but Dad should teach them a lesson sometimes. Otherwise, they will think we are pushovers," said Angela angrily.
Susan looked at Angela with affection in her eyes.
"You are so tough. You must calm down when you return home this time. I've arranged a blind date for you in the afternoon. You can't make fun of your blind date again."
Angela curled her lips helplessly and said unpleasantly, "I was humorous. They have no humor at all."
Susan said angrily, "When you went on a blind date with Mr. Compton last time, you took a python with you. He was so scared that he had to bring bodyguards during these blind dates.noveldrama
"And last time, when you went on a blind date with Mr. Ruiz, you knocked out his front teeth and paid a lot of medical expenses for it. You call this
humor?"
What do you think?
