Chapter 1671
Wilfred fell silent.
If there was someone he couldn't forget, it was Nina, his Ivy.
But fate had not been kind. By the time he found her, she was already married to Nash and had his children. Later, when news of Nash's death spread, Wilfred watched as Nina grieved deeply, her love for Nash evident in every tear she shed. No matter how much effort Wilfred put in, he could never truly step into her heart.noveldrama
He wanted Nina to be happy, to smile and laugh, even if it meant enduring his own loneliness and heartache. But the ache of unspoken love weighed heavily on him, pulling him into a spiral of internal struggle. Still, Wilfred quickly suppressed his emotions.
"You've finished your work and now have time to meddle in my personal life?" he asked coolly, his voice cutting through the room.
The assistant immediately froze, understanding he had crossed a line. "I wouldn't dare."
"Good. Focus on your tasks and stop wasting time on meaningless matters," Wilfred replied sharply.
"Yes, sir," the assistant responded, retreating without another word.

A few days later, the embryos for Freya and Micah were successfully cultivated and transferred. They chose to implant two, following the process to the letter.
Freya was overjoyed. The successful procedure meant that she and Micah were finally on their way to having children of their own. Their excitement was palpable, filling the room with hope and joy.
Supporting Pharaoh as he sat, Nina turned to him with a bittersweet smile.
"Dad, with such good news, you have to stay strong. Micah and I are counting on you to help with all these kids," she said, her voice heavy with emotion.
Her throat tightened as she thought about how her father had used his remaining days to be present for her, to help raise her children, and to give her and Nash more time to breathe and enjoy each other's company.
Pharaoh had not only contributed financially but had gone out of his way to fill the home with everything the children could possibly need. Toys, books, and every little trinket-it was as though he was trying to make up for lost time. Yet Nina couldn't shake the feeling that time was slipping through their fingers far too quickly.
Pharaoh, too, wanted more time, but he knew better than to fight fate.
"I'm at peace," Pharaoh said, patting Nina's hand. "Seeing all of you settled, happy, and thriving... it's more than I could have ever hoped for."
Though he didn't say it out loud, Pharaoh carried a heavy sense of regret. He had almost taken Nina's life once, and he had failed her in so many ways. But now, seeing her surrounded by love, with a family of her own, he found solace.
Micah had grown into a decisive leader for the Yaren Tribe, taking the reins with confidence and marrying a woman who deeply loved him.. Now, with their success in having children, Pharaoh felt like he e could
leave without unfinished business.
Still, there were things he needed to say before it was too late.
He called Nash aside.
Though Pharaoh's face was pale and gaunt, his gaze was sharp as he looked at his son-in-law.
"I'll be honest. There was a time I didn't like you at all. But then I saw how much Nina loved you. And when you gave her children and a life of happiness..." Pharaoh's voice faltered momentarily, his emotions slipping through.
"Nina's been through so much. I hope you'll take care of her in the days to come. If you don't... I won't rest in peace."
The two men, both having faced life and death, didn't need to spell everything out. Some things were understood without words.
Nash nodded in agreement. "I know,
Dad. You've lived here in Birkham with us long enough to see the king of man am. I love Nina deeply. We ١١٤
missed so much time together and now that she's finally by my side, I wift never let her go."
He loved Nina more than his own life. She and their children were his world. His duty in this life was to love and protect his wife, his son, and his daughter.
