Can't Win Me Back

Chapter 77

Jasper narrowed his eyes. And he turned his piercing gaze to Líana’s pale face.

When he let go of her waist, Liana clung to him desperately. She ignored the pain in her hand.

“No, Jasper, it’s not true! Alice provoked me first! I didn’t provoke her! Lauren’s mind isn’t good, don’t believe her!”

“Her mind isn’t good? Well, I think the only thing not good about her is her hairstyle. She explained everything clearly,” Landon sneered.

For Jasper’s sake, he didn’t say anything too harsh. He couldn’t believe that Jasper, the playboy, would treat Liana like his true love. He wasn’t easy to please, yet he was sticking to her like he was under a spell.

“Ms. White didn’t hurt you, right?” Jasper took a deep breath, his voice tense.

With the witness present, Liana broke into a cold sweat. She dared not lie again.

“So, you slandered her?” Jasper’s words cut through Liana like a knife.

“N–No, I-”

Liana began to shiver in fear, her body trembling like a leaf. Suddenly, she fainted from excessive

nervousness and blood loss.

The ridiculous farce ended abruptly, with Liana being frantically shoved into an ambulance.

When Sean hurriedly arrived, Alyssa was with Mandy in the underground parking lot.

“I’m sorry! It’s all my fault! Something so big happened, yet I wasn’t by your side!” When he saw the blood–stained white handkerchief in Alyssa’s left hand, his heart sank. “How did you get hurt? Who did this to you? I’ll take care of them!”

“It’s okay, Sean. I know you had business to attend to at the company. It’s just a minor issue here,” Alyssa said. She gazed deeply at Mandy. “She took care of it for me.”

“What did I even take care of? I couldn’t even do anything for you despite my status.”

The thought of how Alyssa had been attacked by the Becketts tugged at her heartstrings.

“Lyse, why don’t you reveal your identity? Why do you have to endure this humiliation? You should have told them you’re the young daughter of the Taylor family. Then, they would know what they would have to pay for offending you!”

Alyssa smiled faintly and shook her head lightly. She said, “Well, I have already left the Becketts. I don’t want them to know anything about me. No matter how dirty, bad, or hateful they are, they

including Jasper.

Sean was stunned He finally realized that Mandy also knew about Alyssa’s marriage. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

“Yes, life is filled with suffering. The start of a relationship may be lovely and sweet. But it could also suffer a horrible ending. Let the past stay in the past,” Mandy said.

She pursed her lips and couldn’t help but smile. “Fortunately, Sue didn’t come today. Or else there might have been bloodshed.

“She has a strong personality. It’s probably because of her martial art background. She’s quick to seek revenge and swift in repaying kindness.”

They chatted for a while, laughing together along the way. Suddenly, Mandy hugged Alyssa.

“Lyse, I still feel sorry for you,” she said, choking on her words.

“There’s no need to feel sorry,” Alyssa said, her eyes red with tears.

With a gentle smile, she comforted Mandy, “With all of you by my side, I’m not upset at all.”
