Chapter 19: Jailed
“Ah!!!”
Linda reflexively craned her neck and opened her mouth wide, the smell of alcohol in her nose.
Everyone was dumbfounded by this turn of events and failed to react at all.
Cindy smiled as she brought back the empty glass of wine.
Linda had come to provoke her again and again; did she really think she was easy to mess with?
Linda reacted with disbelief at first, and then screamed in anger, picking up a glass of wine and smashing it at Cindy!
“Cindy, how dare you! I’ll kill you!”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
Cindy dodged, subconsciously grabbed the nearest thing in her hand, and reflexively smashed it towards Linda’s side!
The bottle in Cindy’s hand could not touch her face at all, but in the next second, it smashed directly into Linda’s face!
Linda screamed helplessly and then fell to the ground, bright red blood gurgling down from her head as she collapsed in a pool of blood.
“Murder! It’s killing people!”
The scene was momentarily chaotic to the extreme.
The people around were afraid to get involved with themselves and all left.
There were also people who called the ambulance and 911.
Soon, the scene was under control.
“What’s going on? Who did this?”
The policeman in uniform looked at the people present who were under control with a torch-like gaze.
“Sir! This is the person who hurt my friend!
Linda’s friends reached out and pointed at Cindy, gloating flickering in the depths of their eyes.
The policeman frowned, took out the cold handcuffs, and came to Cindy.
“Miss, please come with us to the police station.”
Cindy frowned; the police arrived at the scene so quickly?
She subconsciously glanced at Linda, who was covering her head, and she was raising her eyelids and giving her a wry smile.
Cindy’s body was icy cold.
The cold touch on her wrist reminded her that this time, it was another setup by Linda.
And she, once again, was stuck in the mud, unable to extricate herself.
Eric finished the board meeting and rubbed his brow tiredly, sitting on the back seat of the car.
Assistant Brown, who was sitting on the passenger seat, had his cell phone suddenly and abruptly ring.
“Hello? … What?! … Okay, I got it … eh, I’ll talk to Mr. Miller first.”
Eric frowned and opened his eyes, a pair of barely warm eyes looked at Assistant Brown.
“What?”
Assistant Brown looked a little embarrassed: “President, it’s … Miss Scott’s business.”
