EPISODE EPILOGUE
THEME: Forgive and Forget
BERLIN IN GERMANY
Avery’s Point Of View
Right after graduation, I got all my savings in bank, left town and relocated to Germany. I had good result and I was super lucky to get a well paid job in an automobile company without having an experience in the field.
I didn’t know I was pregnant until three months had passed. I fainted at work and was rushed to the hospital. I got the news from the doctor that I was pregnant and she marveled at the surprised look on my face. I was still trying to put my life together and heal my broken wolf. How could I be three months gone and not be aware of it? I concluded that I have been too busy to even notice that I haven’t seen my monthly flow for three good months.
I tried so hard not to think about Kayden when I heard the news. In a bid to survive and build a good life for my unborn pup. I worked so hard. I stayed away from the internet and tried not to think about my family too.
When the scan showed that I was going to have a baby boy, I had broken down and sobbed in the ultrasound room. The day I gave birth, I held my son in my arms and could help the happiness in me. I smiled so much and it seemed to be the first time I smiled since I left my mate. The moment my son entered the world, I named him Sinclair and made a promise to give him the best life. My son is an amazing creature. He is a happy child and he makes every day an adventure for me. I can’t trade him for anything else in the world.
I had no one by my side throughout the years. It has just been me and my four years old son. I am that single mother in the residential area. It is enough that everyone gossiped about me having a child without a husband. If only they knew what I had left behind and how I have worked so hard to acquire my fortunes.
About two years ago, I had to leave the residential area and bought a house somewhere close to the beach. There are no much people around and it is so peaceful. I am glad that I am living a good life with my only son.

I was dozing on the couch after putting Sinclair to sleep when the door bell rang. I repositioned Sinclair on the couch so he could sleep soundly. I went to answer the door knowing that it would be the pizza I had ordered for my son.
But I nearly fell over at the sight of Kayden Scott on my porch. I must be hallucinating his presence in my head again. I would have slammed the door to his face but it didn’t work. I looked down and saw his booted foot stopping the action.
“Avery.. please.. let me in.” Kayden said.
He has truly come to see me. Kayden Scott is right here in front of me! This is not a dream!
“Where are you here? How did you find me?” I demanded without having a motive to let him in.
“I am here to see you and.. my son.” He answered.
“Son? I.. I don’t know what you are talking about.” I denied.
“Avery.. please don’t try to push me away. Leon sent me a text about seeing you at a mall. He told me everything.. and he traced you down to this area. That’s why I am here to see you.” Kayden explained.
Damn it! Leon snitched on me because he owe his absolute loyalty to his alpha and not me. I should have been more careful.
“You should leave, Kayden.” I let down my hold on the door and Kayden used that chance to let himself into the apartment.
“Avery, don’t do this. I want-”
I interrupted him. “I don’t care about what you fucking want!” I raised my voice.
“Avery, please don’t push me away anymore.” He pleaded.
“Just leave, Kayden.” I moved away from him after seeing the remorse that filled his expression.
“I am sorry, Avery. Please let me make things up to you.” Kayden begged.
I shook my head in disagreement. He looked into my eyes that was clouded with tears. I told him to never look for me. He shouldn’t be here in the first place. I shouldn’t have give Leon that chance to have a chat with me.
So I turned towards the door almost at a close run. “You should leave or else I’ll call the cops on you.” I threatened.
“Avery, wait!” Kayden caught up with me and slammed his palm in the door before I got to it. “Please Avery.. hear me out.”
I reached for the door knob and tried to open it but he wouldn’t let go.
“It has been five years, Avery. You asked for space but not rejection. I have waited long enough.” He reminded me of the last time frame I had predicted the day I left the pack. It hasn’t been easy but I survived.
“I want to see my son and be a part of his life.” He added in a rasp behind me.
“Let go of the door, Kayden.” I said in a harsh tone.
“Avery-” he turned me to face him. “Please..” And his voice trailed off probably surprised to feel that I was shaking despite my bad bitch act that I was trying to put on.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
“Forgive me, Avery. I never meant to hurt you.. I swear.”
I looked up into his eyes and watched as a tear streamed down his cheek. I tried to side step him but Kayden caged me to the door as he fell on his knees.
“I am never letting you go ever again. Just give me one last chance to make it up to you. I have changed.. a lot. Look, I haven’t been with any woman since I got intimate with you. It has just been you in my head. And I have been trying so hard to be a better man.” He held on to my waist. “Avery please.. one last chance and I won’t ever let you slip through my fingers ever again.” Kayden begged in tears.
I was crying too. “Kayden..” I placed my hands on his shoulders and cried even as I rubbed his back. I didn’t know how long we both stayed just crying until we were interrupted by Sinclair.
He sat up on the couch abruptly. “Sinclair.. I am right here.” I sniffed and he looked at me.
Kayden stood up and wiped his face. I went to meet my son, carried him and he stopped crying. “I am.. right here.” More tears flowed down my cheeks.
Kayden had a dazed look on his face when I looked back at him. Sinclair has a striking resemblance with his dad. And slowly Kayden started towards us. He reached out his hands to Sinclair but he held on to me.
“I am sorry.” Kayden was barely audible.
“I was stupid for hurting you over and over again when you have never done anything but love me.” He held my free hand.
“I don’t deserve you and Sinclair not after everything I have done. But I still love you, Avery. And I swear that I won’t ever let you go again. I’ll be good to you and Sinclair. I swear it, Avery. I swear it over and over again.” He sobbed.
I leaned closer and he embraced both Sinclair and I. I was crying too but silently as I rested my head on his chest. This man wasn’t the man I knew five years ago. We have both grown and matured.
“Forgive me, Avery.” He mumbled.
“I forgive you-Kayden.. because I love you.” I sniffed.
Kayden froze and pulled away. “You still love me?” He sounded surprised.
“I have always loved you even when I felt like killing you for hurting my wolf. I love you.. and this is why you are still the only man for me.” I answered.
I have always longed for my mate. Living without him hasn’t been easy but there was nothing I could do. I didn’t want to hurt my pride by going back to the pack to find him.
Sinclair reached out his hands towards Kayden and he carried his son.
“Let the past be dead. It is just us.. so we should move forward from here.” I replied.
Kayden nodded I agreement. “Thank you for having him.”
I snuggled willingly towards Kayden and he placed a kiss in my hair. “Thank you, Avery.” He muttered.
I knew Kayden was overwhelmed with emotions and I was glad that he had taken the bold step to come and find us.
I looked straight into his eyes and wiped his wet cheeks. Kayden lowered his mouth, brushed his lips against mine and I met him eagerly. One, two, three times and it had to end when Sinclair released a fart.
Kayden and I couldn’t hold back the laughter as Sinclair looked at us. He giggled.
