Chapter 598 Household Register for What?
Chapter 598 Household Register for What?
Louis was taken away by John when he was out for a meal. Then he had been missing for a few
months.
Stella stopped eating and looked at Lily, "Hasn't Louis told you that?"
Lily paused and asked, "What?"
Then Stella told Lily that Sofia Jones was Director Carmen's illegitimate daughter. Sofia was Jonathan's
pawn lurking among the seniors of the Smith Group. She had been giving away messages to Jonathan.
It was Sofia who asked somebody to make that poisonous soup while Lily was doing the filming in City
L. She had also plotted the samples of the new perfume that was sent to the Egret Company.
Later Jana was found, and she helped Jana take revenge on Leigh. She made Jessie misunderstand
each other, and instigate Mrs. Lou to hurt Stella. Sofia was almost behind everything.
She was just Jonathan's pawn, but she was ambitious. She wanted more money. She took advantage
of her relationship with David and sold confidential documents of the Smith Group for cash.
Stella said as she ate the apple slices, "I heard Sofia is pregnant. David took the fall for her and is in
jail. Louis gave 2% of the shares of the Smith Group to Sofia to set her up. He was waiting for her to
cash it out. The day she wanted to flee, he'll get her arrested."
Lily sat there and was stunned for quite a long while with half an apple in her hand. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
She took a deep breath. She felt a bit chilly thinking of that beautiful but vicious woman. "I'm surprised
she has done so much all by herself."
Lily said, "She worked for Jonathan, so I understand what she did to me, but why did she help Jana
and Mrs. Lou?"
"She is Carmen's illegitimate daughter. You can imaging how hard her life was." Stella sneered, "She
needs money so badly because she felt insecure, and she envy those people who are happy. Her
happiness is to see everybody living beneath her."
Lily squeezed the handle of the knife hard. She wanted to shove it into Sofia's neck with it if she could.
"Where is she now?"
Stella said, "David has worked for Louis for many years. Louis doesn't want to give up on him. So he
had Sofia under watch and he would find a way to handle her after the baby's born."
Lily hummed and understood Louis.
Sofia is guilty, but her child is innocent. The child might grow into an excellent person under the
guidance of David.
Lily had been busy in Country Y for over two months. She needed to rest. After they chatted for an
hour, Louis came over and knocked at the door. He wanted to take Lily home. The two felt reluctant to
say goodbye.
On their way back. Lily looked out of the window and she felt a bit depressed. "Stella's awake, but
there's still no news on Jessie yet. It will be her birthday soon."
"Just because she's not living in Yorkshire doesn't mean she's not living a happy life," Louis held her
hand, "I know somebody who's definitely more worried than you. He must have been losing sleep every
night."
Thinking of that person, Lily pulled a long face and snorted, "The hell he's worried! He's happy than any
of us every day! He even went to HS Company and slapped me. How good is that?"
Louis laughed and coaxed her, "I've hit him back for you. He stayed in the hospital for three days
because of it."
Louis didn't know that Leigh had hit Lily until Chloe told him. Louis didn't care if Leigh really meant to
hurt Lily, he just went to find Leigh and beat him. Leigh later ended up in hospital.
Even he himself wouldn't dare to touch Lily too roughly. He would never let anyone hurt Lily, not his
brother, not even his mother.
"I know, but I', still angry!" Lily glared at him and warned, "Don't you contact him in these two months.
He's such a bad influence and I'm afraid you'll beat me, too!"
"It can't be that serious."
"Do you want your wife and kids or not?" Lily squinted her eyes and sneered. "Right, I haven't married
you. It's not late for me to change my mind."
Louis felt a bit nervous now. He kept her in his arms and coaxed her, "I promise you'll never see him
again!"
That was when Lily felt relieved.
When they arrived home, Lily saw Chloe was there with Daisy.
Chloe wasn't as good at crafts as Daisy. She didn't make clothes for the babies, but she bought three
cradles. "I had those customized, each of them cost over 100,000!"
Chloe jumped over and held Lily's arms, giggling, "I'm the best sister-in-law in the world, right?"
"Yes, but..." Lily paused and asked, "What do you want from Louis this time?"
Chloe shimmied and whispered to her, "Our household register book."
Her family name wasn't Smith, but she was in the book of household registration of the Smith Family
because she was Louis's sister. She had never gotten to touch that book.
Lily took the flower tea from the servant and asked curiously, "Why do you need that?"
"I'm getting married."
Lily was so surprised that she almost get choked by the flower tea. The water she spit out socked her
collar.
She wipe off tea with tissues and looked at Coffey who was playing with the baby. She felt a little
panicked and asked, "Who's the lucky one? Is it Steven?"
Chloe nodded and showed a thrilled smile. "I've already bought the wedding gown, and we're going to
have a baby, too."
"Lily... are you going to help me or not?" Chloe shook Lily's arm and whispered, "Steal the book out for
me. I'll give it back to you as soon as I got the marriage registration done. Louis will never know."
"Lily, say something!" Chloe pouted and asked, "Do you still love me?"
"I do... but I'm afraid I can't help you with that," Lily said as she got rid of Chloe's grab. Then she
changed the subject. "Let's go shopping after dinner! What do you think of it?"
Chloe lowered her head. "So you've decided to side with Louis? Are you sure? He gets to keep the
household book just because he's a few years older than me! It's not like we're going to violate the law!
Why can't you help me?"
"That's not the real issue... it's..." Lily didn't know how to explain. She called Louis over, and then she
sneaked away and helped Daisy in the kitchen.
Louis raised his eyebrows and looked at Chloe. "What's the matter?"
As soon as she saw her, Chloe swallowed all her words back because she was afraid that Louis would
turn her down heartlessly. She let out a dry laugh and said, "Nothing. The baby's crying. I'll go take a
look!"
Louis was confused.
After the meal, Lily and Chloe went out shopping. Chloe knew what she should do as soon as she saw
Louis's meaningful eye hint, therefore, she left with Coffey in a hurry.
On her way back, she held her chin with one hand in the car and signed, "I understand Louis has given
up on me, but now even Lily has stopped loving me. I'm the least loved child in this family now. "
Coffey peeked at her while he was driving, "What's wrong?"
Chloe turned aside and looked at him. He wanted to say something, but eventually, he waved his hand
and said, "Forget about it. You wouldn't be able to share my burden anyway."
Suddenly his phone rang.
Upon seeing the name on the screen, Coffey put on his earphones and answered, "Hello, Justin."
"Did she take the pills?"
"She did an hour ago," Coffey answered, "But I'm not sure if it's working now."
Justin seemed to be reading documents. A while later, he continued, "The pills take effects slowly. It
usually takes eight hours. Tell me if there are any side effects."
"Okay, got it."
After Coffey hung up the phone, Chloe immediately asked, "What are you two talking about? Why
wouldn't you let me listen?"
