Chapter 964
"Look, I need you to find Aubree and Brielle. Use your connections; they're in trouble."
Jaired frowned, pushing himself up from the bed. "What about Max?"
It was odd. If Brielle was in trouble, wouldn't Andrew have called Max first?
"Max is missing too and he's not answering his phone."
Jaired paused, taken aback. "Alright, I'll have my people look into it."
Without hesitation, Andrew headed straight to Jaired's place. Jaired was a blue-blood in their circle, a scion of the influential Riddle family. Andrew figured that even if Jaired had secrets, they couldn't possibly endanger him or Max. Stepping into Jaired's room, Andrew felt an overwhelming sense of solitude wash over him. The place was spotless but void of warmth. Lately, Jaired had hardly been seen at social gatherings, almost as if he'd lost his drive.
The chill in the room bit into Andrew's bones as he saw Jaired, scantily clad, making one call after another. When he reached some of the heavy hitters and mentioned Brielle's disappearance, they seemed even more frantic than him. "The Brielle who had a fling with Mr. Dorsey? The Brielle who's been trending recently?" They kept asking for confirmation.
"Yes, that's her. Check all the exits. The Clements family has their tendrils throughout Beaconsfield, but she's vanished without a trace."
"I'll have my guys on it immediately. If there's any word on Brielle, let me know. I'll spread the word right now."
Jaired chuckled, a slight curve to his lips. "Why do I get the feeling you're more anxious than I am?"
"Well, there was a heads-up in our circle about her. Anything concerning Brielle should be handled with care. Must be family, I guess. We're told to keep an eye out for her."
Jaired didn't respond, his lashes lowered. "I appreciate it. Keep me posted, and check on Max's whereabouts too."
After hanging up, Jaired gestured to Andrew with a tilt of his chin. "Have a seat."
Andrew felt like he'd freeze to death in the room's icy temperature. Yet Jaired seemed unfazed, calmly awaiting updates.
Half an hour later, they heard back. They had the information on the bus Aubree had taken, but damn it, the mastermind behind this was
cautious. There were nearly tenet
buses under suspicion, all heading in different directions at the same
time.
The same went for Brielle. After her ride reached a surveillance blind spot, there were over a dozen identical vehicles, each heading off in all directions.
No wonder the Clements clan was struggling to track them down. Only someone with an intimate knowledge of the transport system could spot such minute discrepancies.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
Seeing the setup, Jaired's heart sank. Whoever was behind this was skilled. Now, even knowing the directions, splitting their forces to track each vehicle would just open up an opportunity for their adversary. Jaired massaged his temples, a spark of excitement in his eyes. Finally, something interesting.
"What about Max?" he continued.
"That's just it. We got leads on Brielle and Aubree, but Max was acting off when he left the villa. And then... poof. He vanished without a trace."
After the call, Jaired regarded Andrew. The call had been on speaker, so Andrew must have heard it all. Their only option was to chase down those vehicles-all of them.
Meanwhile, Brielle and Aubree sat on a couch, feeling the room fill with the sound of a TV turned on by someone else. The hottest news of the day was blaring through the speakers.
They rose and quickly left the cold room behind.
DreamTech Designs, a titan in Al,
had boldly acquired Dorsey
International. Antonio, the new head honcho, had barely warmed his seat before having to give it up.

Everything seemed surreal, and the public debate had reached a fever pitch.
As Brielle listened to the news, disbelief washed over her. She always knew Max had the means, but she'd never imagined his methods would be so direct and ruthless. How had he pulled off
acquiring Dorsey International in
less than a week?
Although the news didn't reveal the mastermind behind DreamTech Designs, piecing together what Brodie had said at the Premier Palace, Brielle guessed it was Max-the man who haunted her thoughts, capable of anything.
Yet the Max by her side had been enduring agony all this time. Her eyes instantly misted. The news anchor's voice was shrill, cracking with excitement. The magnitude of the news was evident.
