Master of his heart (Brielle and Max)

Chapter 963

"Bri."

Aubree felt Brielle's presence nearby and wanted to reach out, but her hands were tied behind her back, leaving her helpless.

Since being brought into this room, she had been under constant surveillance. When she mentioned she was hungry, someone fed her bite by bite. When she said she was thirsty, they gave her sips of water. She hadn't been mistreated, and at first, she thought it might be the work of an overzealous fan, especially given her recent surge in popularity on social media. But when Brielle showed up, Aubree realized this wasn't about her-it was about Brielle.

"How are you holding up? Thirsty? Need some water?"

Brielle couldn't utter a word; her forehead was slick with sweat.

Aubree raised her voice to their captors, "Bring her a glass of warm water! You can't just let her suffer like this!"

A moment later, a glass of warm water was brought over. The lead man sneered at her.

"Don't push your luck. Hostages should know their place."

If his bosses hadn't strictly ordered against any reckless actions, he would've dealt with Aubree already.

Aubree stayed silent, managing to bring the water to Brielle's lips.

Brielle's hands were free. After taking a sip and rinsing her mouth, she leaned back, fighting the overwhelming exhaustion. Pregnant women shouldn't be subjected to such stress, and the long, grueling journey had drained her completely.

Aubree patted her back, silently vowing to do everything she could to prevent Brielle from going through what she had. Brielle's life was different; she had never been betrayed by men and had a loving boyfriend. All she needed was to keep being happy. The two women sat in silence on the couch, knowing that trying to get any information from their captors was futile.

Aubree had been there for hours, trying various tactics to no avail. They only responded to basic needs.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Dawn came quickly.

Meanwhile, in Beaconsfield, Andrew had turned the town upside down looking for Aubree all night but found no clues. Every method had been exhausted, yet she seemed to have vanished into thin air.

Thinking of Aubree's past ordeals, Andrew felt a surge of emotion, unable to finish a single sentence.

The Clements family had a wide reach-how could there be no news?

Frantic, he stormed out of the house like a caged beast, and no one dared to get in his way.

Andrew got into his car, with his assistant driving.

The atmosphere inside was tense. In a hoarse voice, Andrew instructed, "Drive to Premier Palace."

Though Max was no longer the CEO of Dorsey International, Andrew knew he had ways to make things difficult for the company.

Unsure of Max's exact capabilities

but certain they surpassed his own,

Andre

was determined to seek i

his

help He had tried calling Max, but there was no answer.

Upon reaching Premier Palace and preparing to ring the bell, Andrew saw the door open, and out came Ramey.

Andrew knew there was a new, young butler at Premier Palace, but he had no time to question it. He needed answers. "Where's Max?"

Ramey looked anxious. Max had been gone from the villa, and Brielle

hadn'ted since she left t

previous night. He had tried calling, to no avail.

Max had only recently stabilized Brielle's mood; any mishap now could undo all that work.

"I don't know where Mr. Dorsey is. Ms. Brielle went out last night and hasn't come back either."

Andrew's eyes narrowed, and he quickly dialed Brielle's number. No answer.

Seeing Andrew's worried expression, Ramey couldn't help but ask, "Is something wrong?"

Without wasting words, Andrew turned on his heel and contacted Jaired.

If anyone in Beaconsfield had influence, it was Jaired, who had been keeping a low profile with his own mysterious endeavors.

Andrew knew Jaired was hiding something from him, but he didn't care. With Aubree and Brielle in

trouble, he needed Jaired's power.

"Andrew?"

Jaired answered the call with a chuckle, rolling over in his bed.

His room was spacious but starkly empty, devoid even of servants.
