His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 3134

Ivy took out another piece of cake and took a bite out of it. "He knows that I like him. I made it quite obvious."

Lucas' mother chuckled. "And how did he respond?"

"I'm from Aryadelle. It's quite far from Taronia," Ivy said.

Lucas' mother instantly froze as she understood the implications of Ivy's words. "Are you saying you wouldn't be able to marry and move here?"

Ivy nodded. "My parents wouldn't let me marry here, and I don't want to leave them. They treat me really well."

Lucas' mother nodded in understanding "I can see that. You're always smiling, have a good personality, and it's clear that you come from a happy family."

Ivy affirmed her assumptions: "Yes. My parents weren't very keen on letting me come here, but I insisted. They didn't stop me, but they would absolutely not allow me to settle down here."

"If you're doing well in Aryadelle, there's no point in settling down in Taronia. Even though I haven't been abroad, I know that Aryadelle is quite developed." Lucas' mother sighed. "I don't have much time left. Lucas doesn't have a good relationship with his father, but he could live in Aryadelle with you... If he reciprocates your feelings, you could take him to Aryadelle."Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Ivy's eyes lit up. "Aunty, do you think he would come with me?"

"Would you be willing to take him to Aryadelle?"

Ivy did not hesitate and nodded. "Of course, but I think he probably wouldn't want to leave. After all, this is his home country. Even though he doesn't have a good relationship with his father's side of the family, he has friends here, and he has his own company now. If he were to come with me to Aryadelle, he would have to shut down his company... It would be too much of a sacrifice for him."

"If two people are in love, sacrifices cannot be avoided! Ivy, I really like you. It would be great if you could become my daughter-in-law."

"Aunty, there's another big issue between the two of us... My parents have strict control over my choice of partner. Even though I really like Lucas, he would need to gain my parents' approval for us to be together."

"All right! I don't know if I'll be around to see the day you two get together, though."

"I'll have a serious conversation with my parents when I go home for the holidays. I hope I will come back with good news."

"Okay!"

"Please don't tell Lucas about what

we talked about," Ivy added. "Even he knows I like him, we have not discussed this matter yet!"

Lucas' mother laughed. "All right. I won't say anything."

Back at the hotel, Ivy purchased a flight ticket back to Aryadelle.

After buying the ticket, she took a screenshot of it and sent it to Lucas with a message. [Mr. Woods, I will be returning to my country for the holidays.]

Lucas replied right away. [Are you coming back?]

[What's wrong? Don't you want to see me?]

Lucas changed the subject. [What holiday is it?]

[Thanksgiving. I don't think that's a thing here in Taronia. I will bring you some pie from my country when come back.]

[I don't like sweets.] Lucas typed.

[There are a lot of different flavors.]

After a while, Lucas sent her another message. [I have a present for you.]

Excited, Ivy immediately called Lucas, and he picked up right away.

"Mr. Woods, what did you get for me?" Ivy asked.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

"Are you that excited?" he mocked.

"Of course, I am! It's a miracle that an unromantic man like you prepared gifts for others!"

Lucas fell silent.
