Chapter 25 Can’t Stop Thinking About Her
Her heart skipped in fear, as she stared at the phone in her friend’s hand, and back to her face, while she just gave her a serious look.
“My hand is aching.” Nina rolled her eyes.
Rolling her eyes at her, she snatched the phone angrily from her, before holding it to her ear, with her heart pounding against her chest, like it was trying to force its way out.
“Dad.” She flashed a smile, and bit her lip, praying silently that he doesn’t start again, as she isn’t ready for any drama, now that she’s in a good mood.
“How dare you Eve! How dare you go against my order, huh? I told you to stay here in Paris, how could you leave without even letting me know about it? Do you think all your mom’s attitude that you’re trying to harbor now, will help you? She did it, but where is she now? If you don’t…”
“Dad please! Enough! I told you to stop bringing mom into our discussion, didn’t I? Irrespective of whatever I must’ve done wrong, you have no right, whatsoever, to call my late mom into our discussion. Do you have conscience at all? Even if you never loved her, must you curse her, even after she’s no more? And wait! Who says that I should listen to your order, huh? The last time I checked, you don’t give a damn about me, you only care about your useless wife and children, so why don’t you just let me be? Why are you always pushing me to the wall, even when I don’t wanna talk? I am more than twenty for fuck sake, I have the right over my life, and you have no right, to make decisions for me, I respect you alot, so don’t piss me off!” She snapped angrily, fuming.
“How dare you talk to me in that manner you ingrate!” He growled from the other end.
“Have you ever thought about your decision? Have you ever thought about how heartless and inhuman you are dad? You deprived me of everything, you deprived me of fatherly love and care, I never complained about it, how could you want to deprive me of my passion and talent too? This is my life, and I wouldn’t have you live it for me, I’d appreciate it, if you don’t push this, excuse me.” She snapped, before ending the call, after which she slumped on the couch, as the tears, which she’s been holding back, finally found their ways out of her eyes. She couldn’t believe that her own dad could treat her in that manner, she hated her life, and wished she wished she never existed, her life is nothing, without her loving mom, she was the only one that understood her, the only one that loved her with everything in her, but too bad, death didn’t let them enjoy each other for long. Thinking about her whole life, she couldn’t help, but let her tears deliver to the outside world, the pains, which she was feeling inside. A few minutes ago, she was happy, like she got nothing to worry about, but why did he decided to ruin it again? She is still trying her best to get on track with him, but the more she tried, the more the man distance himself from her, is this how much she hates her?
Nina went to sit beside her, as she hugged her, and allowed her poured all her tears on her shoulder. She regretted bringing the phone to her, if only she had known it was going to cause her this much pains, she wouldn’t have brought it out in the first place…
Days Later
Nathan POV
It’s been days now, but I can’t still seem to get the crazy girl out of my head, my every thoughts had been filled with nothing, but her. No matter how much I tried getting her off my mind, I just found myself thinking about her the more, her face, her smirk, her frown, and everything about her, I just couldn’t help, but wanna see her again, just what the heck is she doing to me?
“Hey bro what’s up?” Ivan’s voice cut through my thoughts.
Jolting out of my deep thoughts, I raised my gaze to see my annoying and crazy cousin, standing all dressed up, ready to go heaven knows where.
“You seemed lost, what’s up?” He asked, picking his car keys from the center table, before turning to look at me.
“Nothing, just thinking about something.” I said, rubbing my forehead.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
“Ok bro, happy thinking. I’m going out to hang out with Audrey and Alex, how about we go together? Or are you too busy to?” He smirked at me.
Good idea, I think this is the best thing to do, maybe I’ll stop thinking about her, if I hang out with them, but those dudes are a bunch of frustration.
“Ok then, I’m coming with you.” I said, as I stood up and adjusted my collar, before heading to the door. We got to the parking lot, and hopped in his car, before he drove us out of the compound, and soon, we were on our way to God knows where.
“So, where are we going?” I asked curiously, as I tilted my head to look out of the window, and back to him.
“I remembered telling you that I’m hanging out with my friends, and you should know that it’ll wither be at the restaurant, or at the bar, so if you’re not interested, you can as well get down and take a cab back home, don’t frustrate me please.” He rolled his eyes at me, and increased the speed.
“Seriously!” I scoffed unbelievably, as I rolled my eyes.
After driving for almost an hour, he finally stopped the car in front of a bar, before stepping out, and soon, we were on our way to the entrance door.
“For a second, I thought we were driving to heaven.” I scoffed.
“And here we are.” He chuckled, as he opened the door, and was welcomed with the loud music, and the awful smell of alcohol…
